Revise Your Novel: Finding the Story Flow Scene by Scene // A Weekend Intensive with Martha Conway

from $195.00

Congratulations, you’ve finished a draft of your novel! After you’ve duly celebrated (a must) it’s time to revisit what you’ve written with an eye to improvement.

In this weekend workshop, we will tackle novel revision in small pieces; which is to say, scene by scene. We will examine how scenes carry the story, characters, and themes. We will also discuss three critical scenes: the climax, the midpoint, and the opening (in that order).

In addition to these discussions, each participants should bring 10 copies of one 3-5 page scene from their current manuscript-in-progress, which we will read and discuss.

This workshop is for fiction writers who have completed or nearly completed at least one draft of a novel.

Saturday & Sunday, 9:30am - 12:30pm

March 21 & 22

$195 (15% off for Backstory co-working & community members)
